We went with a contractor that we knew to be honest, conscientious and hard-working. They did my MIL’s bathroom, our kitchen and bathrooms.

You're lucky to know one! When I asked around, I had very little joy although I hope to be working with someone reliable for the front veranda reconstruction

No, I think it would be easy. But saddening.

That's the thing isn't it. Even though I knew Ned and Lucky went somewhere great to live, even better than my house, it was still sad.

It's great that you knew someone. This contractor actually had done good work for someone they knew well. But he got a bigger better paying job that had to be done immediately and just dropped my daughter like a hot potato.

I am heading out on Monday to finish the job for them. I assigned them some work to do before I can get there. I'm pretty hopeful that I can wrap it up for them.
