MJ's little flock

If they are co-sitting when the chicks hatch what will happen do you think?
Will they fight over them or co-parent? Having 2 hens looking out for the babies would surely be an advantage.

They were so cute!! Still are.

Are they tame as adults? I can't recall with certainty but my hunch is that they're quite independent.

:frow Good morning MJ, have a great day...

It'll be good for me to observe a hatch! I've never done that before.
Just a warning, it can be a nail biting experience. Trust your girls. Also just note that you might hear peeping up to a day before they hatch. As soon as they internally pip, they start singing and once they externally pip they get louder.

Ok this is really good info. Thanks. I will try to keep my cool!

Exciting! Both mums are up at the same time
So I've been out taking photos.

The non-starter is still in the nest.

Wide view - Peggy has been sitting on the eggs with Ivy by her side.
