I just realised I called nana a single mother when really she was a widow with two sons at a time when women didn't have economic autonomy. I slipped up because grandfather (who died long before my time) was a violent alcoholic who was not fondly remembered and spoken of so rarely he doesn't take up much space in my thoughts.
