MJ's little flock

I've never heard of anything else chickens push out. Only poop, eggs, and lash eggs. It's just such a regular shape and huge compared to the other lash eggs I've seen. I wonder if her treatment journey will end with a surgical intervention. If so, given her joie de vivre it won't be for a long time.
I sure hope you are correct. :fl

I mentioned before that my brother is very kindly doing a lot of handyman work at my house at present. One of the tasks was to replace the torn flyscreen on the back screen door. Once he'd removed the wire we realised it was great opportunity to repaint the door. So we took it off its hinges for this purpose. Also, it'll be a lot easier for him to attach the new flywire if the door is horizontal.

So, while I'm at work my phone keeps beeping. Beep beep! Beep beep!

Now there's no door, the hens are going in and out of the back porch and triggering the security cameras! This morning Ivy was particularly interested in spending time in the back porch. Yesterday the whole team was in there from mid-afternoon, chatting, grooming, and pooping away.

Yesterday afternoon's home invasion.

The patient (behind) and her bestie who is looking very healthy indeed. I think Joycey made a full recovery from her recent surgery.

They may be marauders but I find them both very endearing.
And I know it's subjective, but I also find them beautiful. Maybe because my first chickens looked like these. Vanille will always remain my ideal of chicken beauty.

You should just leave the door off.

I agree. The really are beautiful in their own way.

Vanille looks utterly wonderful in that photo!

The marauders are endearing in many ways, but they will keep picking on the other hens.
