MJ's little flock

Four old biddies relaxing on a park bench.

In the spirit of acting like a chicken some of you may remember when I had a dust bath with Maggie.
This was an unintentional experiment but clearly demonstrated that Maggie as a pullet would copy what I did.
I was lying supine flat on the ground fixing some gaps in hardware cloth in the undercarriage of the Chicken Palace and Maggie concluded I was taking a dust bath and joined me in the tub.
It was specifically my head that she concluded was taking a bath.
I don’t recommend dust bathing for people, though it does seem to work well for chickens.
That was very sweet

(and hysterical 🤭)

I'm really pleased with it!
Does the rest of the phone work well?
I got a new phone a few months ago, ditched my old smart phone which generally did as it was told by me rather than by the applications installed, and my old separate camera which was dying, and bought a Google Pixel 8a. The camera and the smart photo manipulation stuff is excellent; the rest is a pile of crap.
I know a couple of people with phones from the Pixel series and they haven't had the same mechanical problems I've had. The bolt on Google stuff isn't very well done and I don't think I would buy another.

Friday evening snoozy time.

Look at me putting music over video! The wind did not sound good.
You may have already looked into it but some modern phones have a wind noise reduction program. Got it on mine and it does make a difference for the better.

I'm still learning about it and it mostly seems ok. One negative is that on a phone call, people can't hear me very well through this new mobile. It's an oppo a5 by the way.

So I think it might be a satisfactory pocket computer and good camera, but a poor phone.

Some aspects of the UX are frustrating (again, related to calls and inflexibly rigorous security) and others excellent (eg connecting to work email and calendar).
