MMMM Chicken and Wild Shrooms

We have more than usual ammount of wild shrooms in the yard this year and our chickens are sampling them. Should I pluck the shrooms or don't sweat it? I have seen some of the chickens acting lethargic now and then. I checked shrooms and they were pecked on. BTW I am in central Florida.

Oh, that is a tough one.

Are these shrooms human consumables? Or are they human poison?


I probably would error on the side of caution and remove the shrooms as I saw them.

I agree, I would err on the side of caution on that one. I think I have read about deaths from chickens eating mushrooms here on byc.

I know that in some places where cattle are raised the silicybin mushroom grows. Just a thought.
