Moaning while roosting

I've noticed that one or two of my girls are makeing a constant moaning noise all night when roosting. My interupation of this sound is that of pain or woes me. Is this normal? Thanks

from what i know its normal. sometimes this sound is made as a distress call if there is an unknown object or animal sucha s a fox cat or u. do they act like that during the day are they in pain at ??? if so treat them asap. but probably just because u are there
