modern game bantams

I recently saw some modern game bantams and I really fell in love with them. They are so interesting. How are they as a breed?

I can't answer your question but wanted to tell you that I also fell under their spell when I saw them at a chicken show a couple of years ago. The judge told me they are very friendly and, if they're all like the one I held, oh my!!! I've had Old English game bantams and they were awesome as far as personality goes. I think they're pretty closely related.

I have Red Pyle modern bantams, and I don't really like them. I thought they would be really cool and a lot of fun to have but they are standoffish and mean to the other birds. They will not let me hold them. They are about 8 weeks old now and I am finding them a home. They are very pretty and fun to watch because they are busy bodies and all over the place but just not for me.
