Twilight, feeling very drowsy all of a sudden, agreed. "Alright, I shall go rest, as long as you stay with me though."

Twilght fell to the ground for she could not stand any longer. "Thank you Jet." Twilight yawned and layed her head on Jets shoulder again. Before falling asleep, Twilight manged to utter, "I love you Jet." Then fell into a deep, restful sleep.

Flip rolled in exhaustion. His brain was working overtime. There seemed to be no way out of this murderous mess. He could die or leave the herd - one or the other. What other choice was there? If he gathered up all the mares that could fight, he could defeat Jet. But what if Jet had comrades? Suddenly a cold thought entered Flip's mind. What if Jet DOES? What if... What were those other horses, Hussar, Fritz, Chirp, and Jingo doing here? They'd never given much a reason. Flip lept to his hooves. He would need all the help he could get. Still, he couldn't recruit pregnant or injured mares. And Twilight wouldn't help - she was in love with Jet. Flip counted in his mind. Skittles, Dahlia, Twilight, perhaps Viola, wouldn't be willing to fight. Even Seaspray, the sarcastic old mare, might refuse. What was a stallion to do?
