Twilight opened her eyes slowly and yawned. She tried to streatch but when she did her Leg filled with a short burst of pain. She layed back down weakly. "Okay, take it slow Twilight." She said in her head. Slowly, she mustered enough strength to sit up.

Skittles lay somewhere in the woods and Sky stood by the water hole.

Ivy trotted over to talk to Seaspray.
"Hello, ma'am," she started, politely.
Seaspray growled. "And what brings you here?" The old mare's voice sounded like squeaky door hinges.
"I'd like to talk to you."
"Hmph."
"What made you kick Twilight the other day?"
"She was being a foal. Threatening me. Told me that colt she was with would kick me if I didn't leave. So I left."
"But you kicked her."
Seaspray let out an irritated sigh. "Yes! I wanted to show her what being kicked feels like." Something seemed to stir in the mare. "I've been hurt a lot in my life. Even stallions who only wanted the best mares hurt me. Tried to kill me even. I don't want to get kicked anymore."
Ivy looked at Seaspray with a new respect. "I see..." she murmured. Then, gathering up her foals, whom had shrunk back from the old mare, Ivy whispered a goodbye. She trotted over to Twilight.

"Hello, Twilight. I would like to apologize for Seaspray's behavior yesterday."

Ivy shook her head. "I'm no relation to Seaspray, and I'm not her friend, either. I don't know why Flip keeps her, personally. But she shouldn't have done it. Although I don't blame her..." Ivy mumbled under her breath as an afterthought. Achillia nursed beside her.

(For all of you who don't know, a contusion is a bruise that is deep, down in your tissue. Thats what my Mama sya anyways. I only know that because I fell of ofa segway and onto a concrete and I couldn't walk properly for days.
