* Sprite watched the sun set and the half moon go up in the sky. The half moon left an eerie half light filtering through the branches of the trees in the forest. Sprite turned and walked away to a small area she had found recenty: a smalle clearing set in the forest, where noone would see her.
Then she began her dance.
Her knees lifted gracefully as she trotted in place, moving only her hind end around. Her dark, satin black coat aborbed the moonlight, so only those watching carefully could see her in the moonlight. But to her knowledge, none were watching.
She began cantering almost in place, barely moving forward, legs workiing as she moved in a slight outward spiral.
She half reared, gracefully settled back down, shaking her head and and turning, legs crossing in a riderless leg yield across the diaganol. She cantered, switching leads every stride in a graceful kind of skipping. She settled in a trot leghtening, then stopped quickly, rose into a full rear and came down.
Then, as quickly as it began, it was over.
