Ivy turned to look at the three new horses. "Fritz, Chirp and Hussar..." she mumbled to herself, walking toward them. She beckoned Flip with a motion of her head.

Skypaint walked lazily along the edge of the herd, her ears slightly drooped and all around relaxed.

Ivy smiled innocently at them. "Hello," she greeted the horses. "I am Ivy. And this..." she added, tossing her head in the general direction of the approaching Flip, "is Flip, the Lead Stallion."

Flip did not smile, but looked gravely at the five horses. "Who are you?" he inquired, staring at Jet. "Which ones of you are stallions and which mares?"

Jet stepped forward, standing a few inches taller then Flip "I am Jet" Jingo stepped forward "And I am Jingo, this is Fritz, Chirp and Hussar. Skip is playing over there" Her voice was polite but cool and guarded
 
Dahlia rested under the shade of a willow tree, watching the others play merrily. Unfortunately, the only thing that she felt could cheer her up was Buchephalus's caring personality and gentle spoken words. The mare sighed and placed her head lower onto the grass and continued to watch.
