"Sounds like you don't know him too well," calmly said the Quarter horse that Columbia was with earlier. "He might come off that way during the start, but he's really not too bad. Most definately not pompous like you mentioned."

"Really? Why don't you look at Bella?!" Ace stated.

Buck sighed and shook his head, saying in his cool tone again, "Ace--is it? Please don't judge him from what he has done, I'm sure you would have done the same if someone had bucked you in the face as hard as possible, bit your fetlocks, and managed to knock you to the ground. It's a matter of defense, something that Columbia would never do to a mare unless provoked, like this situation."

"Not a mare, especially Bella who was protecting her herd. I didn't see how the fight started, but I know Bella, and she doesn't fight for no reason" Ace added.

"So one isn't alowed to hurt a mare when obviously trying to defend themselves?" he asked. "That's a bit unfair, wouldn't you think? I mean, you can tell she's strong and what not, Columbia wasn't trying to kill her but make his point. She shouldn't have hurt him in the first place, though. We meant no harm. He doesn't fight for no reasons either," Buck replied.

"He isn't the type to cower when beaten," he added, still calm. "There isn't anything wrong with what he did, Bella could have looked like an enemy to him as far as I know."

Goodnight.

"I have forgiven him for what he has done, it is in the past. All I ask from him is not to hurt her again..." Ace said softly. "She's everything to me... I just hate to see her in pain..." Ace sighed.

Trin danced around the herd once more, but slower.
She was calmer than before, still worried about the stallion that fainted in front of her.

Sky looked for Yang, to see if she foaming at the mouth or anything.
