And Aaron is not a horrible toad, he's just not... very smart. He's loyal to Skyherd and a nice guy, but he's not a good father and has no idea how to act around mares, Viola in particular.

Hmmm.... I don't know. He's a Shire horse, and he appealed to her as being handsome. Plus he gave her her first live foal. And she was promised as many foals as she wanted and a mate. But now she really hates him.
