Blaze cried on Shadow's body for some time, before returning to his herd.

Bella snorted and pawed her hooves on the ground, motherly instinct to protect the foals kicking in and making her rage worse. All sound melted into one as she listened to and watched no more than the panting wolves, with an unbroken focus, her own heartbeat thumping loudly in her head as sweat collected on her skin.

A towering form lurked in the trees, uttering a whinny in reply to Bella's infuriated snort at the wolves. Plodding over to help was a gigantic horse with proportionately large hooves and thick ankles, with a big-boned frame and a muscular build.

Ace ran over to Bella. "Are you okay?" He asked softly.

Twilight noticed Blaze coming back and stood up slowly to meet him. She saw that something was wrong, so she ran up to him. "What happened?" She asked softly, so the foals wouldn't hear.

"Well, I am able to give milk, and so is Sienna. When I see her tommorow, I will tell her whats happened and see what she says. But for now, they'll just have to live on my milk."
