The colt smiled, showing his teeth. He mumbled baby talk.

What small colt????????

Stephani adopted him, but she's gone right now.

Here is kind of what happened. Stephani left for a while, then came back saying dhe "Started" a herd, but it was only her and the colt. So, she came back with the colt!

I just get done typing the introduction of a character and everybody vanishes.

Well, at least you're still here, Cd25.

A shaded figure appeared in the wilderness, stepping atop a hill that poured steeply into Skyherd, another soon joining her side. "Look, Ember!" she whispered, indicating with a sway of her head to the valley filled with a group of bustling horses. The stallion smiled, "This is it," he told her. She gazed in awe at the beauty that was the meadow, filled with fresh grasses of green, golden weeds, and the occasional wild flower in full bloom, reaching it's orange fingers desperately up to capture the refreshing warmth of the Summer sun, dainty butterflies of a cheery, bright yellow flitting from bloom to bloom.

She stepped out into the sun, it's delicate rays revealing a beautiful labyrinth of patterns scattered all across her shapely body, and shining down on her heavily-lidded, thoughtful amber eyes.

She started down the hill, ambition bringing her feet forward effortlessly even after their long, treacherous journey. She skidded to a stop, her hooves leaving deep imprints in the soft, lush carpet of grass. She looked bemusedly back at him as he followed, but much more slowly. "Ember?" she murmured, bemusedly looking back at him. "Go on," he told her, "I'm staying behind. I'm a loner, I always have been." She breathed a sigh, "Ember!" she pleaded, "You have to! I thought you loved me!" she cried out. "I do love you, sweetheart," he chuckled, walking down the slope to nuzzle her cheek. "I will still be here for you, always." he reassured her. His tone was soft-spoken, his words so warm, so inviting. "Always?" she asked, batting her long eyelashes and looking up at him with her head on his chest, "Always." he answered, caressing her face with his cheek affectionately. The pair spent a moment together, the sun shining on his rich, chestnut pelt in hues of golden, and on her sleek pelt like silver.

"Alright," she said, taking in a deep breath and departing from his side once more, "Bye!" she called over her shoulder, grinning back at him. "Good luck!" he shouted out to her, she turned to face Skyherd's valley once more and trotted down.
