I am new to it all and can't believe how much personality my chickens have. I just wanted some healthy eggs and ended up falling in love and now find myself singing praises of chickens - which falls on deaf ears around here so I thought I would look for some of "my kind" of people here on BYC. @Gallo del Cielo - I checked out your run and coop and am IMPRESSED! I love all the pest/predator deterrents, but mostly love that you did it all so beautifully. I like that the coop's roof echos the roof on the run - really pretty. And the grapevine for shade idea is wonderful. I am going to show your set up to "mi esposo" and see if we can use some of your pest proofing ideas.
