Hi,I went to clean the coop today with my g-friends son and when we opend it up ther was some mold growing on the underside of the roof.I recently added a air vent to the box this winter but I guess not soon anough though so what do I do scrub with bleach and paint with some mold resistant paint was what I was thinking.I think the vent is doing fine just leftover from winter I hope but till I get it out I won't know.

Can cover it with Kilz brand oil-base paint. It is the best I have seen for that. Sand/brush first tho. Regards ventilation, I allowed 1 sq ft/each 4 chooks. Since I had 24, I allowed 6 sq ft ventilation in my 8 x 16 coop. I ended up having two full-length soffit vents, two gable venst, and one roof turbine-vent.
