mold/mildew on eggs?

hello! i'm a newby at hatching eggs and have had my first set in my incubator for 6 days so far. when i checked on them today i noticed it looks like some are starting to get a mold or mildew on them. is that normal due to the high humidity and heat or do i need to do something?

I have hatched many eggs, I have never had mold or mildew on the eggs. Can you clarify, is the mold or mildew inside the egg and you can see it when you candle? I have had that happen to me and it appears to be a bad egg, one that was too old. So i cracked it opened and BOY was it a stinky little one. So if you are seeing the mold or mildew inside the egg chances are it's no good. If it's outside the egg, mmmm, perhaps your readings are off, What is the temp and the humidity at? What kind of incubator, a homemade one, a dry one?? Need more information... sorry..

it's an Rcom 20 and the temp is always 99.6 and humidity 60%. i haven't candled them yet because they're only 6 days in the incubator. i was gonna wait till day 10 to candle. i went out every day to collect the eggs from the nest so i know they weren't sitting there too long, and kept them in my room btwn 65 and 70 degrees till i had the amount i wanted. she laid one every day and the oldest one was only 6 days old (i marked them as i collected so i knew how old they were before putting them in). do you really think they're bad?

should i go ahead and candle them now? i'm just so nervous about taking them out of the incubator more than i have to

since this is my first time i don't want to mess them up by fluctuating temps and humidity due to taking them out. oh i hope they're ok!

I would wait like you were going to do and candle at day 10. It will be easier to see the embryo.

If you candle them now, the most that you will see is veins that is if they starting to grow. You will need an extremely bright light in order to see the baby. I just got done candling mine but I have an extremely bright light and I can see everything that goes on in the egg. My babies are only 5 days old and I can see them moving. They are only about a pen point size right now. Give them some more time, then you will be able to see the little stinkers hitting the side of the egg. When candling what I do is I rotate the egg while staring at it, after a full turn if they haven't right off the bat you should see movement. But by rotating the eggs it seems to wake them up and gets them really activite.. Then you will know if they are alive and not quitters... I find it absolutely amazing how the entire birth of life works. Also, if there is one that you question after candeling, smell the egg if it has an odor that would explain why you would question it.. It's a not good one...
