It is day 23 for my chicks.............5th lockdown day.
I noticed something on about 25% of the eggs.........it looks like white mold....
worries me...chicks are chirping so I know some are alive.
Temp amd humidity have been stable.
Did not candle.Moran eggs and I could not see through them.
I would appreciate feedback on this ....
Don't know if it is normal....... or take a chance and pull those eggs out ?????
Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of that. Do you notice a bad odor? If you can smell a bad egg, it's best to get it out before it explodes and compromises the rest of the hatch.

Do you think it is mold, or just sediment from any water added to the incubator? Do you have pictures? My eggs often have a small, dusty white ring or patch on them at times due to the sediment remaining from evaporated water. (there's some sort of mineral in it)

I cannot figure out how to do the pictures.........
It appears this is not something common.
I noticed several days ago that a few of the eggs appeared to have tiny bits of cardboard from the egg carton stuck to them....I was more careful about putting water in after that.
Perhaps this is just the cardboard looking odd from the humidity being higher.
Think I will just leave everything alone right now...
Thanks again.
I'll post the answer after I see the eggs close.........
