mold or mites?

I'm reluctant to even post this because I have absolutely no idea if these herbs from the Chicken Chick work, or if roaches would love them or hate them. It looks as though you have lots of the critters, so obviously you have to do a lot more than sprinkle some herbs around, but if you get things cleaned up, perhaps this could be another line of defense used with other preventative measures. I'm inclined to think that they won't do a whole lot, but I like the idea anyway, and I'm going to try it in my coop. I don't have roaches, but I did get lice once and I never want those moving in again!  If nothing else, the herbs might make the coop smell nice!   Good luck!  I hope you win the battle soon.

I'd love to hear if anyone has tried these and if they think they were in any way effective.

Theres different herbs you can plant that critters dont like and can help repel but also is good for your chicken to pick at. Im going to have an chicken herb garden in the pen this year already got my seeds.

I'd love some goats, but I don't think that will happen. I only have 3/4 acre and not a lot of weeds for a goat to eat! We don't have kudzu (cutzue?) here, thankfully. It's too cold. It's 24 degrees tonight...still, at the end of March.

I am going to try growing some pest-repelling herbs though. I think it can't hurt, and it may help.
