I just noticed this morning that there was a small area 5 inches or so that had some fuzzy white mold on it. I know that mold can be very bad news for chickens. We have had huge amounts of rain so our land is very muddy and wet. I can't do much in the way of drying it out, so now what? I did dig it out, but it only takes one little spore to start it growing all over again. Luckily our run is huge with plenty other space for the girls but should I block off the area?

I would get a big load of sand delivered and dump it all over your run. Make sure you keep the food in a dry/covered place and keep a look out for mold. Some people suggest coating the ground in lime, but I haven't tried that.
