Yeah I do not know if they would bond more or not. I do know the chickens can learn sound based commands… my daughter’s 4H show bird responded to several vocal commands and had learned on her own to come when we whistled for our dogs recall. She was the first chicken the family had so she bonded with the people and dogs as her flock. She was thick as thieves with dogs… always tagging along with them. It was hilarious throw a ball 2 dogs and a chicken would chase it…
My daughter taught her all the other commands using food rewards and positive reinforcement training, because you can not force an animal almost as big as yourself to do anything it does not want to do. So my little kid worked hard to train her so all she had to do was say a command and the hen would do the thing the judges wanted on command… everyone else had to use sticks and had nothing but troubles getting the bantams to walk or had to deal with a bird freaking out in their hands. Not my kid she just would issue a command and the chicken would cluck and do it. The bird 100% trusted her so she could move it around with ease. The bird was a show winner even though common accepted showing advice said no way… Hatchery stock, huge standard sized birds are not supposed to win showmanship class… but everytime she showed that hen she won the showmanship class, and the hen did good in the exhibition too. I swear the hen loved the attention... bonding matters.
