I have four 16 month old hens. One of them has been molting for a week and the others have started attacking it. I saw some blood today so I removed it from coop.I would appreciate any suggestions on how to handle this problem.

More information is needed about size of your set up and what you are feeding.

Some molting birds can act sick or unwell which can draw attacks from other birds. It's important to have places birds can hide, and get away. If necessary pen her within sight of the other birds, so she can have some peace, but still be a part of the flock.

Hens should be switched to a higher protein ration during the molt, otherwise a craving for protein can bring out aggressive behaviors.

Thanks. I sectioned off half of their pen and added mealworms plus a high protein food. I also made an additional separate box to sleep in and another watering can.
