molting or sickness?

Forgot to mention that I have checked her for mites, etc. and found nothing indicating that kind of problem. I noticed that she seems to be getting new feathers all over her body, though her head may have started the process earlier. So, I guess that means she is definitely having a "hard molt".

Flock Raiser is fine, that's the feed I use year round.
Did you happen to check her crop first thing this morning before she had anything to eat/drink? If not, do that in the morning.

What is the antibiotic that your husband put in the water?

Duramycin-10, Tetracycline hydrochloride soluble powder....He says a very small amount. I'm wondering if we should take her to an avian vet who has treated my 18 year old cockatiel. With the holidays and poor Pepper's condition, things are kind of hectic here. I just found out that I mistakenly turned off the oven after placing three loaves of bread in to bake! From the looks of them, they may not be fit even for the chickens.....The pumpkin pie, cranberry jelly and cornbread for dressing seem OK. Still have biscuits, applesauce cake and now more bread to bake!

Oh My! You are having a rough time!! I'll take some of that pumpkin pie and applesauce cake though...mmmm!

If you have a vet that will see her that might be a good idea if that will relieve some stress for you. She sure looks like she feels rotten. Could be the molting, but sometimes during molt and underlying condition can also present itself.

She ate some black oil sunflower seeds. Last poop was not just water--more like green pea soup. Depending on how she looks in the AM we may call the avian vet. She works only certain days of the week and since it is right before the holidays I'm afraid she won't be available. I'm still hoping it is just a molting issue. She was fine until just a few days ago when this started. The younger birds are molting and having no problems & none of the rest of the flock have seemed ill. New batch of bread is rising right now. Can't believe I'm having to do this twice. Applesauce cake and oatmeal cookies will have to wait until I get a decent batch of bread baked.

I brought her inside in a crate for a few days and just yesterday put her in a pen inside the run for the day since the low girl wants to peck her and the rooster wants to mate her. She is absolutely terrified if he moves toward her, and she takes off screaming and running to hide, like he was a predator. At night, I put her crate inside the coop so the others can't get her in the morning. This morning, I moved her back into the pen outside. It's cold, right at freezing, and she seems to be handling that. She just eats and drinks so little, mostly sleeping.

@Matzwd is your girl molting?
Some that molt seem to be terrified of everything. Her sleeping a lot is a bit concerning though. Check her over for mites/lice and watch to make sure the crop is emptying overnight.
Caging her within the coop is a good idea, with cold temperatures I'm sure you are doing this, but I would give her a generous amount of bedding at night if she is not roosting.

I usually direct dose a bird that this with poultry vitamins a couple of days in a row too.
Mine don't seem to eat quite as much when molting either or they are picky. A little scrambled egg is usually well received, so is wet feed.

If she is still sleeping a lot after a few days, consider getting a fecal float to rule out worms.
