Molting pekin?

So in was given to adult pekin hens about 6 months ago, I'm not sure how old they are bc the man wasn't sure. If I had to guess I would def say between 1 & 2 yrs old. They still lay regularly. But a few weeks ago, one hen started shedding all of her feathers. Her wings are bare and she's getting that yellow down look to her. It seems like new pins are growing in, but some old pins look nibbled at. Any idea how a molting cycle/age works

well be sure they are not feather eating and they should also get through molting eventually

The hen literally loses feathers just from picking her up. Normal?

I have one like that right now. My white layer is very yellow at the moment but as long as she isn't bare you are good.

She is looking pretty rough, mine haven't ever looked quite that bad. I would try to up her protein since it can be hard on them when they molt. Good quality cat kibble would do the trick.
