This is my fist flock of chickens and I am unsure of when things are suppose to happen. None of my chickens have bald spots yet but there are more and more feathers around the run. They are in a 15x30 run. I have 15 two being roos. They are three months old. And I am feeling starter and grower with some cracked corn mixed in a little. My question is what time of year do they molt? Could the list feathers be molt?

Your birds are still going through baby molts at 3 months. They generally get their adult feathers by 5 months and won't generally go through their first adult molt until the next fall, which would be 2019 for your birds.

I'm not sure about molting but I find dozens of feathers a day from my pullets either around the yard or in their cage. It might just be a regular thing, like how we lose hundreds of hairs a day but they grow back or its never enough that you don't notice.

One of my girls has a bald "necklace" around her neck about an inch below her head. I was also wondering if this was normal molt or not...either way, it looks hilarious.
A few of mine are plucked about the head too. It's kinda normal wear and tear. Sometimes I think they pluck their own, and sometimes others pluck them. It's amazing how some chickens go through the year pristine with not a feather out of place, and others look like they went through a paper shredder.
