Molting?

I just noticed the naked chicken contest and was wondering if Emus ever have a big molt? My mus only seem to groom out a feather or 2 every so often.

yep, right after breeding season ends. On some it's not that noticeable but some more so than others, especially around the neck and for ours it seems especially more obvious in the males.
