Mom and dad fighting?

My broody hen is sitting on her second clutch of eggs, and when she gets off the nest the "father" of the eggs comes over and grabs her by the breast, she does the same in turn, fighting each other! I have currently split my pen in two, mama and duckling ( i have a month old duckling from her first clutch) on one side and the two drakes on the other side

Any advice? Is this normal?

the only thing i can think of is he wants to breed her ?
Maybe seperate them

I have them separated.
And I dont think that is it, im thinking it is more towards hierarchy.
When he wants to breed her, he is a lot kinder
