Mom said I have to go outside and I dont want to... Is the look i get from my 5 week olds. They were very upset the other night and I thought it was the approaching storms bothering them. Then they kept it up every night since then. They dont settle down until i hold them for awhile. Then they go to sleep in their brooder box. I guess they just want to be held before going to bed. I took them into the outside run.. inside a dog crate.. to protect them from the older chickens. But the older chickens were afraid of them. They didn't even go into the run to see the chicks. They hid in the coop. Too funny! Finally i put the older girls in there with them. It went OK. The big girls finally started eating the crumbles the little girls kicked out of the cage they were in. Plan on a few more day outings like that.. then i plan on leaving them out all night with them in coop.. But in the safety of their dog crate. Thats gonna be hard on me.
