I am so glad that I jumped ship after my store in Columbus, Ga missed the last cut and I jumped ship. I tried to talk a bunch of my fellow coworkers to follow me but they didnt believe the CC could bite the dust.

I remember my GM, who was a total moron, tell me that me leaving was a stupid move on my part. I told him I leaving for several reasons and two of those was the way Circuit City and him personally treated employees and customers.

i just got out of my car insurance with AIG because I was afraid of ending up having to look for insurance at a moments notice. Now I noticed they have changed their name to 21st Century, gee I wonder if they were trying to avoid the negative press associated with AIG.

We just bought a TV at one of their stores two weeks ago; they had already been downsizing and closing stores all over the place.

My DH the computer scientist will be thrilled. He'll be picking the carcass of our local Circuit City stores for weeks, just like he did when CompUSA went out of business. He's always on the lookout for ways to get more cheap electronics.

I do feel bad for all the people who are losing their jobs, though.

We just purchased both our big screens from C.C. within the last nine months! Of course, we purchased the long term guarantee!! Now who will honor those??? Where will get our repairs done?

PunkërTeçhñöRøø§ter I dont think the location of the Columbus Circuit City helped any. It's in such a back corner of the strip mall, I always forget its even there.

I know this ! Your items are covered by a third party, which is Assurant Solutions and GE Consumer & Industrial. So you just call the number on your warranty paperwork and they will be who you talk too. Quality of the assistance on the other hand from what I experienced after two years with CC is hit or miss to be sure.

Yeah the location could of been alot better. We were suppose to be a "anchor" for the strip mall. But hell, the Smoothie King and Subway got more customers than we did on the weekdays and weekends.
