Momma did WHAT??????

So far so good! they are separated by chicken wire and a screen door, but mostly the babies just get the stink eye. I have had 2 times where 'Bird and Hope have gotten over to their side. I found a few peck marks on poor Victorias head, but no damage done, and no one dead thank goodness. I think I may only have issues with 1 or 2 hens and them. As soon as I get some nicer days they will get their own pen adjoining the rest so they can have some more face to face time. They will all be fine, that I have confidence in. I have had to do this part 4 or 5 times before, and it goes ok.

Yeah, there's always one that doesn't take to the new girls. It was Debra Jo for me last year. I wonder if she'll be like that with this year's girls, too.

How in the world are Bird and Hope getting over?

I am not sure how they got over their. Personally, I think 'Bird knows how to reach his wing through the screen and unlatch the door. Hope opens the door while 'Bird unlatches it and over they strut.

It's further proof that chickens can teleport, that's what it is. One will be right behind you, and the next thing you know, they're across the yard.

Glad the little ones are okay, anyway. :) They're looking like real chickens now! (Y'know, instead of little dinosaurs.)
