Momma did WHAT??????

Yep! Also check out the feathering on the face. It thought that was interesting, too.

Well, ok you all... GIRLY Victoria just learned how to tear up a piece of lettuce. That was just soooo cute, but what sucked is that SHE tore it up and dropped the pieces on the ground for the rest to eat...........

Just like a roo would do......

I concur. The owner is obviously suffering from Rooengitis of which the only know cure is Rooectomy. Or, for 14.95 I can cure you of the problem. The cure is simple. Ship the chicks to me. You have to pay for shipping.

I had a Silkie chick do that in the brooder, and it attempted a crow like sound once. Thought for sure it was a cockerel, but at 14 weeks now, pretty sure it is a pullet, because the Silkie cockerel that is same age is twice as big and obviously a boy, he is crowing.

Come, come, now. That doesn't mean s/he's a rooster. Our roosters never shared as chicks! They acted like all the others, running like mad with the food, unless it didn't interest them.

oh you guys kill me. Rooengitis huh?????? lolololo. nope, not shipping Victoria/Victor to ya. Nope, not gonna happen. he/she is seriously ripping lettuce from me and dropping it, I really she is just surprising herself when she pulls it off the piece. So **** funny. yea, they have started the running around like an idiot with a mealworm in their mouths too. That just never gets old watching.

Ok, Ok, .... I will wait and see with her. No other moaning and groaning...,.. Only gonna say 'I told you so' when she is a he.

I can't say I can remember having this much fun with a set of chicks before. Maybe because it is so early in the year, and i have more time to spend with them as I cant get out in the yard to work yet? It has been harder to maintain the temperature for them, but I think I will do it again this early instead of April.

Well, All the GIRLS are resting with full bellies and warm hearts, so i better go kiss them all goodnight and tuck them in like a good Mommy.

Well, fretting over it isn't gonna change it anyway. ;) Wait for a definite sign and THEN gloat.

GAH, I was at the feed store today and they had CHICKS!! SL Wyandottes, too! So tempting, but their minimum is 6 chicks and I'm pushing it now with the 9th chick I added to my order the other night.

Then mom says, "Their minimum for ducks is 2, we could add some of them." :th

I gave her a serious warning of, "Don't tempt me, woman." (But the duckies were cute, too. White Pekins.)

10 weeks and 5 days to go for my babies. Might not make it that long if the feed store gets bantams in.
