GAH, I was at the feed store today and they had CHICKS!! SL Wyandottes, too! So tempting, but their minimum is 6 chicks and I'm pushing it now with the 9th chick I added to my order the other night.

Then mom says, "Their minimum for ducks is 2, we could add some of them."

I gave her a serious warning of, "Don't tempt me, woman." (But the duckies were cute, too. White Pekins.)




10 weeks and 5 days to go for my babies. Might not make it that long if the feed store gets bantams in.

I know what you mean! Our feed store is getting chicks anywhere from the end of Feb. to the beginning of March. I am going to find a way to get more! Lol!

LOL! We have enough room for 10 more chickens, but not enough money for feed.

Lucky! The addition to the coop is so that I will have enough room for the 8 (now 9) that I'm adding. Chicken math hits me hard this time of the year...

ETA: Lucky for the space, not the inability to feed any more. I did not think that post through.

Okay, I'll give you that. It just is hitting extra hard now on the count of the feed stores having babies! I melt every time I hear them peep.

Well, I'm going to have to go back to the feed store tomorrow if I want to feed my darling hennies. Gotta stay strong for another 10 weeks and 4 days...

Hey CHICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got home yesterday and checked on the GIRLS... and guess what I see???? Victorias head is a nice shade of pink.... PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elizabeths is pale, Victorias is not....

I know, I know, I promised I wouldnt complain, groan, moan, or have rooengitis.....
Wait until i get a picture today. When I get home, if Elizabeths is not pink... I am going to pay the 14.95 and ship him to you.
