momma hen still not laying

One of our best layers had chicks about 9 weeks ago. They have recently been incorporated into the flock; all's well.
However, when is she going start laying again?

Is she still mothering the chicks?

My hen is still raising hers at 7 1/2 weeks and she's not laying yet either.

My bantams started laying at 6-9 weeks, even with their chicks still in toe.

I wonder then if bantams act differently than bantams?

Yes, she is still mothering them; they are right with her, she leads them around the yard, away from the other hens due to their pecking and they sleep right next to her in the coop.
