Just as ya’ll said..... I seen him trying to mate my Plymouth Rock. I say try because I don’t think he actually made contact..... technique still poor. I guess she will be the next to lay an egg. My RIR has been laying a small egg daily this for 3 days! Exciting for a newbie. So glad he is not a sex crazy Roo as some have talked about. Only time he seems aggressive is when I fool with pullets and they squawk, he comes running ( slowly as he is big meat bird) when I say back off and walk towards him he turns tail and runs. I view us as a partnership- he is there to protect girls.... I expect him to come investigate if he thinks I am hurting them. I want that if a real threat is present. As long as he respects my space and moves when I come near him..... I am satisfied
