One of my red stars laid the biggest egg I have ever seen it weighed 4.4 oz and was three and one quarter inches long

Very nice! Maybe a double yolker. Are they new layers? Typically in young hens multiple yolks can be accidentally released and have a shell and all formed around them. Welcome to BYC!
