Anyone raising swedish flower hens? What do you think of them? I have two very different looking swede chicks and am looking forward to seeing what they mature into.

Hi, and welcome new people here!! I've been a slacker lately due to life & chickens! Same thing, right! Today, I'm home with a sick child, so I thought I'd catch up a little.

I live in gt falls. I have 11 hens & 1 rooster(soon to be 0). Lol. I hatched out mixed breed eggs this spring from my flock in an LG w/turner & fan. I kept 7 & got 3 pullets from north 40. I got 3 turkeys this year.....to eat. They are mean & might kill chickens.....I learned the hard way. I have 2 meaties ready for the freezer & 15 meaties that are a week old. I like to call them nuggets. My layers are my pets, but the meat birds are to eat. Anything I know, I learned on this site or from experience over the last year and a half. Always happy to share info!

I did have 1 hen die on Easter. Don't know why. Only a year old. No signs of sickness. All the others are fine. Hope everyone is having a great spring!!
