Only thing I had laying was a turkey. Stupid bird it's not spring yet!
Lost 3 of my guines. their feet froze even though I had heat lamps out for all of them.

everything else is doing alright.

Yeah, I went from getting 2-3 dozen eggs a day to about 6 eggs a day, quite a dramatic drop, and they haven't started laying well again yet. I wonder if their little bodies are just confused over this back and forth weather we're getting.

I'm so ready for spring.

Ahhh, sorry about your guiness. I found a hen missing some toes also and it baffles me how it happened - she should have had everything she needed to stay whole through the weather. Some of them are just more sensible than others. One of those nasty cold days I saw one of my roosters walking through the water in a trough. I couldn't believe he didn't loose some toes after getting them wet and then walking around in the freezing wind. Silly creatures.

Hi, Anyone on the W end of Billings? There is a lady out near the Boys & Girls ranch looking for farm fresh eating eggs, between her and her sister I think they would buy 3-4 doz a week. She would like brown eggs. Just to far for me to go to get her eggs. If any one can help her out pm me and I'll give you her phone#
Also, don't know if anyone saw my post on my rescue chicken. If you know anyone in Billings that lost a chicken check out my posts in both What breed is this, and Mang. your flock. I would like to get her back home, but if not she will stay here. She is a very nice girl, very pretty and friendly, I'msure she has been someones pet. She is small, but not sure if she is a banty, or just a smaller type of LF.

Hi all!

Just found my way to this forum. We're on the eastern side of Billings out in Lockwood. I grew up around chickens on our farm, but this year I am starting my very own backyard brood for the first time. I'm excited to have found some like minded people to share my chicken love with! This year we have 27 little ladies, 25 chicks and 2 ducklings. Looking forward to sharing with you all

Might be. Got up to 40 degrees yesterday afternoon and then around 3pm it clouded over and dropped back down to 20 degrees.
