Montana

I have 1 phoenix, 1 americauna, 1 black giant, 1 golden Campine, 1 barred rock, 2 Egyptian faymouis, 2 Sicilian buttercups, 2 red stars, 2 anaconas, 2 lakenvelders, 3 black stars, 3 silver laced wyandottes. I hope I spelled all that right.

Midasmychicken,
Is your Campine a hen or cock? I have a lonely Golden Campine cockerel. Hatched him from eggs off eBay, he was the only one that hatched. Looking for a cockerel?

Welcome Midasmychicken, and ReneB,
Love the photo of the calf and Mom. Wow, I don't think I would ever want that many cows, but would love to have more than I do. I'm still at the point where mine all have names. ReneB if you want turkeys, you should check with Prairie Ridge, she has Sweetgrass turkeys.
Karla, I hope your Mom is doing better, if you need to wait to get the chicks that's OK, they will be just fine here till your ready.

Azrel are they ok to be out with out a heat lamp? I may end up at murdocks buying a dog house from them, I can not find one any where. I'm just worried it will get real cold here still and they will not be able to deal well with it. Say, how old are my girls now? Did you figure out which were girls and what were boys? I know these kinds of birds can be hard. I took mom to the hospital this morning, she has a broken rib again, the last rib down. She has been on prednisone most of her life from having rumatoid arthritis and it's made her bones break. Her back is so bad, she has had cyphoplasty so many times to glue ribs , my mom is in such great pain every day. They gave her morphine today and it did not touch her pain :(
She loves chickens, was raised with them and last year I gave her 2 . She spent hours with them, but I took them home in the fall and they were so mean to my flock I gave them away. They were bad girls when I gave them to mom, they pecked and ganged up on my Girls all the time, but we're happy at moms. I promised she would get more this spring, I really want to make it happen.

The truth is I have had a rough time with eBay eggs. I have bought an awful lot of them, but the hatch rate is very poor. The Campine was the only one that hatched out of 20 eggs. My percentage of hatch for eBay eggs at best is about 40%. The average is about 20%. The only reason I have bought eggs on eBay is to get the breeds and lineage of good quality that I want. I figure even if I lose the majority of the eggs, I still get a few of the good quality I want for less that I would if I tried to buy the same lineage birds from the breeders and had them shipped to me.
