Hi Megan,
I don't have any roos for sale right now, out of all the Wheaton/Blue Wheaton eggs that I bought, I only hatched 1 roo, can you beleve that. I do have 24 pure Wheaton/Blue Wheaton eggs set for early Feb hatch. I will have chicks for sale, but I can't tell sex on the Ameraucana's till they are a little older. My eggs are a beautiful sky blue, and my breeding stock hatched out of very pretty blue eggs. I plan on keeping some of these, so I'm going to need another non related roo myself.

Karla, it's you!! I didn't make the connection from my facebook page to you. Cool!
Sure, I'd love to post chick pics when they hatch. I only have two turken girls and no turken roosters, but most hatches I have at least one bald necked little chick bouncing around the brooder box - they are so goofy looking!! I'll let you know right away if I get any out of this group and you tell me if you want it for your own.
Nice Silver Laced Wyandotte picture!! That's a very pretty girl indeed.
Are you allowed to keep a rooster at all? If you are and you hatch out a rooster or two from the chicks that you buy from me, then you will have your own fertile eggs to put in your new incubator.

you know Im in, I ordered 5 from you, better make it 6 in case some are roosters, a turken would be fun,and a EE ( ameraucana ) and I would love a wynddot also rhode island red! ! these are going to be fun, I hope my chicks turn out to be some pretty colors!! please let me know what time you will be in missoula and where to meet up., I only know a few places in missoula, costco and huckleberries .

I just saw this post, sorry I missed it until now. I'll be in touch as we get closer to the 21st to finalize the details. Which direction are you coming into town from? We have to go pretty much right through Missoula to get our errands done, so we could meet you where you are instead of having you try to cross town just to go right back through again. Where is huckleberries?

Hi Megan,

ONE ROOSTER!!!!!! Please, you must teach me your trick!
The first time I bought Wheaten Ameraucana chicks, they were direct from Jean Ribbeck, President of the Ameraucana Breeders Club. I spent $8.00 a chick, bought 10 chicks, and ended up with 9 roosters. 9 Roosters!! Which wasn't the end of the world, because I thought it would just give me a great selection and I could start with a really great roo. And there were a few truly outstanding boys in that group. Until the night of the foxes; a very, very bad night in my poultry raising history, but one which triggered us to buy our flock guardian dogs, which has proven to be one of the better decisions we have made in life...... Anyhow, I lost everyone of those roos that night and the next bunch of Wheaten roosters I ordered and had shipped in grew up to be something other than pure bred birds and made yummy pot pies. Then I brought home a fantastic breeding group from a really great Idaho breeder, and the girls are stunning, but the lone rooster grew up to be a sport - pure white. Have you heard about this? It's beginning to show up more and more in the wheaten/blue wheaten Ameraucana rooster; boys who grow up to be pure white.
I put my white boy over my best Wheaten girls last breeding season and to my great surprise, they hatched out really nice wheaten chicks, but I don't want to continue to use them to breed because I'm not sure how the father rooster's odd presentation will show up down the line. I've been selling his offspring, though they look like beautiful wheatens, as Easter Eggers, with an explanation. They would probably show well at the fair, but I would be hesitant to breed them if the goal was to establish a healthy flock of pure wheaten Ameraucanas.
And so, my hunt for a rooster for my wheaten girls continues......

LOL its me, yep from facebook.
a bald baby would be awesome, will it be smaller then my big girls ?my kids think there so funny looking, it maybe quit fun to have one turken!! I do not want anyone to be picked on but if they get the same size as the other big birds all will be well.. Nope no roosters in the city, I hear that any ways, I do not want my neighbors mad so will not attempt it. I'm coming from Butte, so no biggie meeting you, but I do not know the town, just the out skirts lol. I believe huckleberries is by Costco on that road any ways. I'm hoping to grocery shop that day before getting my babies, we have no Costco so we have to travel many miles to get to one which is a bummer. I want to be able to get my babies and zoom home right away. it will take me 2 hours to get there depending on the weather. Im looking forward to my little ones, I saw you have been getting white wheatens, that sounds interesting and cool. but what ever you have I will be happy, just praying there not 6 boys LOL.

Sounds like you have had some major bad luck, I keep an electric fence around my coop and main pens and so far I haven't had any problems. Before I put the fence up I did loose 1 GSL to a raccoon. Plus it ate all my fish out of my pond I had had the fish for over 15 years, that actually made me more mad than the chicken. What kind of LGD do you have, I don't like Pyrs much, but that is all I see around here.
I have not heard of the white wheatons, but I'm sure the breeders don't make it widely known.
I would love to get a bigger bator, I had a chance to get a Sportsman last year, but didn't think I would ever need one that big. I have all my eggs stuffed into a Hovabator 1588 and an Octogan 20. they are double stacked.

Does anone have some young pullets for sale?
My brooder house has fallen apart so I have no place for any chicks this year.
