Mood Disorders and Psychic Animal Communication

I'm a scientist and think like one. Psychic? Not so much. Communication? Definitely!

Domestic animals have co-evolved as partners with us for some time and they do pick-up on our body language even if we are not aware of it. Sometimes they even fool us without us knowing - or maybe we fool ourselves. Clever Hans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clever_Hans) was one smart horse, but not the way people thought. . .

I'm not a psychologist but am sure there is solid data on the therapeutic benefits of pets. Mine certainly have heard an ear full from me when life is throwing lemons my way.

Cheers,

James

I recently had a very bad dream, in which my favourite chickens, a rooster I raised when his mom rejected him, got run over. I woke up and it was the middle of the night. He started crowing! Like he knew I was thinking about him. He doesn't have a habit of crowing at night. When I got up in the morning it was with some relief, but I didn't treat him differently than any other day. He, however, followed me around all day. I went to lie down for a bit, looked up and he was in my bedroom. I'm busy in the kitchen, turn around there he was.
Usually he's out and about all day with his girls. The next day he was back to his normal behaviour. But somehow, that day, he knew!

This is a two-parter but I thought it would make more sense to put these two concepts together as they sometimes go hand-in-hand.

I have been struggling with clinical anxiety/depression and was hoping to talk with fellow chicken lovers who struggle with the same. The chickens are really what give me the most serenity and healing. Without them I would feel so much worse. I am in the process of changing medications which is always very very difficult and am having a rough day. If you also share these problems I would love to talk with you and hear your stories.

Also, anyone here believe in animal communication? I have experienced this at various times of my life with various animals but never have I had more conversations than with chickens! I know I can't be alone here. (I know it sounds cooky but we're already halfway there, being the crazy chicken people that we are).

Hi i too have anxiety/ cronic depression.I have a couple of winnie dogs a cat but my chickens they get me up and out even if i find it hard to get out of bed.Ican easily spend a couple hours out with them. I also beleive that been outside in the fresh air and sunshine has helped me alot. Getting chickens and ducks has been one of the best decision ive made.My husband is even glad i got them.My wonderful daughters can even tell a differece in me. i havent heard my animals talk to me though i can tell what they want by how they act most of the time. And i talk to them all the the time.

I can so relate to what you said here. Chickens were the best decision I've made in a long time too and I spend more time with them in my day than I do doing anything else pretty much. My husband also was surprised and pleased at how much they have helped me and how much I love them.

You are very lucky in terms of being able to communicate with animals. It is absolutely true. All humans are born with the ability to telepathically communicate with any life form. Most everyone loses the ability after a few years old simply because no parent believes in this and it is simply discouraged. Native Americans used this ability with birds to find herds to hunt. The telepathy picks up images, emotions, physical sensations as well as thoughts that are translated. This is nothing to do with reading body movements or regular sensing based on how an animal is acting.

A few months ago I would not have believed it until I came across it myself. I wrote stuff like this off as just psycho nonsense. A friend of mine hired an animal communicator to telepathically connect with their pet. The communicator, over the phone, was able to remotely read the pet's mind and give the owner information that could not possibly have been known. I hope to take lessons to learn how this coming year. Here are a couple excellent youtube videos and conversations on the subject:

I've had some animals talk to me - but it's not something I can really choose?

Some do, and some dont. The chickens haven't yet.

Isn't amazing what animals can do for your soul?
