I live in southern Oregon west of the Cascades and have raised chickens for about ten years. I have an older laying flock of French Black Copper Marans, Black Olive Eggers, Black Splash Olive Eggers, Cuckoo Marans, and Ameraucanas. I also have a small flock of Silkies who are fine layers, and excellent broodies, This fall as my layer replacement chicks and Silkies mature, I'll know how many producing birds are in the flocks, and have a better idea of how I can get to my current goals for producing birds and old friends. I look forward to benefiting from the collective wisdom of you other members.
