Sonoran Silkies - Silkies are not my favs - but I am obliged to get at least two in my lifetime - bcuz my kids like them

I have a very mixed flock and I tend to have different breeds for different reasons - but I do love all the varieties and having a mixed egg basket. I'm not in it to be a breeder - I couldn't cull as responsibly as a good breeder must. I just came across pics of birds in the moorkop coloring and fell in love with the color (I also love crele, barred/cuckoo and mottled). Owlbeards are adorable in it - altho really I think I have liked every bird I've seen in this color...

I prefer standard size birds that are at least fair layers. Aside from that I am not too picky - I do appreciate the unusual - but anything moorkop will be unusual because of it's color.

You might consider the black crested white Polish. They are available here in the U.S. although they are not common. I've seen hatching eggs for sale before.
