So I’m on my first go with chicks. I started with 4 and today it looks like one is not going to make it. Not sure what happened this morning I feed and changed water and they all looked good. Come home from work and one is just laying down. It is clearly not going to make it. I have had them 2 weeks now and the temp is at 89. Is there something I should be looking for or was it just a weak chick? Not sure what to do if anything?

What are you feeding them? Bedding? pasty butt? Try egg yolk water for the ill one.

I’m using hydro hen in the water, feeding them this DuMor balance poultry feed then I have chick grit and bedding is pine shavings.

No pasty but all looks fine eyes are clear it breathe heavy laying on its belly. Every few minutes it will drink some water the puff up flap it’s wings look around the lay back down.
