So I’m building my 6x6 wall where I’m putting the door in the middle. I was thinking 30 inches but is there any reason to make it wider? It will be the only door. In an open air coop/run.

What is the widest thing you will be putting through it? Probably a wheelbarrow. So how wide is your wheelbarrow? I assume you are building the door yourself and not using a prefab one.

The front door on your house is probably 36". An interior door in your house is probably 32". What are you going to be carrying through that coop door? A bucket of water or feed maybe? A feed bag? A bale of bedding? How easily can you carry those through your house front door? Your bedroom door?

You are the one that is going to have to live with it. I made mine 36" so I'd have plenty of room.
