More Artwork,.....we Need More Artwork

I like drawing, but, for some reason, I find that it's easier with an italic nib. Here are some of my drawings.

I like drawing, but have been intimidated by family members whom excel in oils. I like a lot of the mediums and just playing with them to see what I can do. Here's a few:

This one was interesting to do. I just sat with no idea what I was going to do. This was on a Saturday afternoon, and I KNEW I was supposed to make a copy with me the following day to church. I REALLY didn't want to. New church. A young couple came in with a little girl, dark hair in pig tails and dressed like this without the halo and wings. She was having a hard time sitting still but didn't want to go play with the other kids her age. At the end of the service, I gave the copy to her. She hugged me and shared that her little girl was born with a heart problem bad enough that they didn't think she'd make it. She promised God all sorts of things, but found peace in knowing that God would take care of the details. Recently she had pnumonia and was hospitalized. This was the first time they'd been to this church too, it was her parent's church. God can use ALL talent, right, even us lesser ones.

My first artbook, I tried to copy the flowers, but as carnations for my Mom. The cross is really a reflection I captured from the window panes and loved the effect. The hard part was getting the jar of water and contents right. Geesh.

I LOVE to draw and work with clay with 'drapey' materials. But this was a bear. Still didn't get the hanging weight right, but decided to just let it go and learn from the experience. The original was from an art book done only in pencil, but I was getting frustrated. Liked the old fashionedness of it though.
