Crazy for Chickens!
Free Ranging
Hi guys,
Lately I've been getting 6 bantam size white eggs. I have 8 adult chickens. 1 is a roo, 3 are standard hens, and 4 are bantams. So that means 4 bantam eggs, not 6.
I have 17 "chicks". They will be 16 weeks Tuesday. I understand that some of them could possibly be laying, but here's the deal:
No red combs or wattles
Vents are not stretched at all.
My breeds are:
Brabanters
Campine
Hamburg
Faverolle
Easter Egger
Silkies
Now, white eggs would rule out the Faverolle.
Silkies are harder to tell on, and I didn't check all their vents, but I thought since they are slow developing anyway, they would lay later.
Thoughts???
