This past week, I have noticed we are having longer days. It was still light enough to close the girls up at 5:45 w/ out a light.. Yes, we have had two really big snow storms w/ ice and our temps have been way below normal--we have 5" of snow and a 1/4" of ice on top of it..started Yesterday about 4am..... BUT yesterday and today== I got three eggs... One from one of my FBCM, One from one of the BO and one from one of the RIR... Since Oct., the older girls have been molting, the Marans are just starting to lay and the Ameraucanas have started yet..
The only thing that has change (for the better ) has bee the length of the days.. Same food, water, treats,--I was getting NO eggs or one IF I was lucky..
