Again, all from the bin labeled "golden comet pullets and marans pullets"

I'm new to chickens, buuuuuttt I don't think this random asaortment of mostly bantam cochins(I think) is actually Marans and Golden Comets. Haha. We bought all the birds in the bin and are still trying to figure them out... all told right now we have 99 chicks in the brooder right now. 44 shipped from Cackle as a "surprise assortment" (1 turkey from this died, so 43 chicks), 50 discounted tsc chicks(supposedly 25 of the pullet mix, plus 25 from the bin of "asians and barred rocks"), plus we bought 6 full price ducklings from tsc to keep company the 3 pekins that cackle sent in the assortment. :D

I think TSC worked against themselves throwing these randos in the pullet bin. I think why so many that were left are light colored birds because others didn't realize what had happened and they thought the white/yellow ones were just male sex links! (Which, I am not chicken savy enough to know for sure we do not have at least one of those).

All beeping and jetting around I can't get a good count, but seriously at least ten of these seem to be white or buff bantam cochins. Looooool. My gain tho right :) and with a 60 acre farm, any extra roos we like can be set up with hens and any true extra roos aren't extra... they just have a trip to a colder climate in their futures. Anyway! On to the chicks! And I may just add more pics in this thread of other chicks, rather than starting another thread and gumming up this forum with all my posts.

Does it change anything that the chicks that look like chick one are itty bitty? Bantam welsummer? Is there a bantam version of the leghorn? -googles it- There is and it is adorable.

Thanks for the help!
